Sofia A Chu’s Artist Manifesto
Always revisit your works in the morning, night has a habit of warping your vision
When you have the urge to make, make
writing lists can never hurt you process
Take inspiration from what you know, but never stop learning to know more
If someone gets mad at your art, listen and hear what they have to say. If what they say is unintelligible or not rightful, continue. Otherwise adjust.
The sooner you start, the sooner you can enjoy
don’t forget to take care of yourself. Take your medication, Take a shower, Brush your teeth, Do your work.
Make what makes you happy. The rest will follow
Give back every chance you get
Don’t grow idle in fear of growing idle
My vision as an artist has a strong focus in play. It benefits greatly to have the space and time to work things out with different objects, creating a larger body of work that I can edit down into a more cohesive piece.
In the current time, creating has been much harder. As I go out less I find myself more depressed and harder to leave my bed let alone my house. Keeping a schedule is vital for me, but I haven’t been able to keep my head on straight enough to have one that works for me currently.
